Homonyms

Homonyms are words that are spelled the same and have the same pronunciation but have different meanings. The word homonym comes from the prefix homo- which means “the same,” and the suffix -nym, which means “name” (Greek). And that’s how we get a homonym which is a word that has at least two different meanings, even though they sound the same and are spelled the same. Below is a list of common homonyms.
